Eat It: China! A multimedia food history project

A Chinese cooking and history blog my sister and I are creating, based on a 1956 cookbook “The Art of Chinese Cooking,” written by American nuns in an internment camp in China during WWII. We’re cooking a book, and illustrating it—while researching the lives of missionaries and US expats in China, and their role as ersatz-diplomats in the 1920s and 30s. It’s a lot to chew on, so if you’re interested, why not just check it out here. And it’s cute as heck. More photos and illustrations below the jump.
